Finger Paintings

In the severe cropping of the figure, the forms are decontextualized, creating an abstract image that is open to broader interpretation. The contours and colors of the skin are not defined by a body, but by their own topography. A fist folds the hand, and skin becomes a canyon cupped by rolling hills. A thumb presses into a palm and creates a pattern of light and color that mirrors a mesa lit by morning sun. A finger curls in a sequence that illustrates a human body not separate from Earth but a living echo of its rhythms and rules.
